National Day

while i was watching today's live telecast of the national day parade celebrations on channel 5, it really bring back memories.

i still remember a year ago, i was there in National Stadium, part of the Colours Party, part of the parade. Nothing spectacular in particular, cos the actual parade was actually our 10th real time run? we were all too used to atmosphere.. can't really feel a thing, really...

but come to think of it, that 39th National Day Parade celebrations is probably going to be the only time in my entire life when i'm actually a participant. don't think i would ever get another chance.

it did bring back memories, like the fact that you get to see the organising part of a national event, u also had an rare opportunity to see Singaporeans coming together for a common goal. That's really something incredible...

but i guess most of them were really unpleasant experiences.. like for example getting burn like 3 months of weekends, it's always afternoon till evening, and during the full runs, it can be from morning all the way till 11pm.. i guess this is the part most pple won't get to see...
we eat at super off timings like 4 pm for dinner, sometimes no lunch.. screw up in transportation etc... we train and train and train.., won't get to see the performance of the celebrations... and many other bad experiences...

anyway, i still glad i did it once, did it before.. but if u were to ask me, i guess i won't do it again... haha...
